About Us

Equipped Motion Incorporated was founded in 2017 to fulfill the requirements necessary to allow grant submissions to the National Institute of Healths SBIR research grant program. Through a cascade of circumstances, the company evolved into a private physical therapy practice. We are a Portland native small business and pride ourself in creativity, innovation and the highest quality of care.

At Equipped Motion we help active people keep up with the demands of busy lives. Whether you are 8 or 98, if you are looking for a way to improve pain, mobility or performance, we can help, even if you have already tried other treatments in the past.

Caleb Wright PT, DPT, OCS

Physical Therapist, Clinic Owner

I am committed to doing everything I can to minimize the suffering of people who deal with debilitating musculoskeletal conditions. With over 10 years of clinical experience and my knowledge of the Physical Therapy research, I have developed a unique treatment style that has helped my clients progress toward their goals, even in the most difficult of circumstances.

I am an Oregon native and graduated from Beaverton High School in 2000. I graduated from Portland State with a Bachelor’s of Science and Pacific University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I have been a Physical Therapist since 2008 and have been a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy since 2013.

I worked for Providence Health & Services for over 10 year, where I specialized in orthopedics, sports therapy and complex spine conditions. I moved into private practice in 2018 as the founder and CEO of Equipped Motion Physical Therapy.

I believe in one-on-one individualized Physical Therapy and my treatment style consists of a blend of manual therapy, taping techniques, therapeutic exercise and self-care education. I take pride in making myself available to my patients and giving them my very best at each appointment.

I consider myself an entrepreneur and a life-long learner. I love playing with new technology and have won several technology grants through the State of Oregon. I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids, hiking and running.

Melissa Walters LMT, PTA

Massage Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant

I specialize in Fascial Counterstrain, deep tissue massage, and cupping techniques. I help people with chronic pain, acute pain, pre and post surgical, and sports medicine. I enjoy working with people of all ages.

I grew up in Boring, Oregon. I attended Clackamas High School. I graduated from college with my Physical therapy Assistant degree. I worked as a PTA for 20 years, with the last 8 years in clinic partnership where I developed the love for Counterstrain and working one on one with patients. I also got to learn the business side of a clinic. I then completed the massage therapy exam and received my massage therapy license in early 2021.

I currently live in Oregon City with my husband of 20 years, 2 busy teenagers and 2 dogs. When I’m not working, I am active with my kids sports, camping, crafting and gardening.
